Top 11 Places to Dine at Walt Disney World

It’s no secret that Chris and I are huge Disney fans. We absolutely love visiting oUr home Way from home, AKA Magic Kingdom. One thing we love just as much as visiting attractions, watching shows, and shopping is EATING!

We have our dining list made out long before our 180 day reservation window. Vacation is a time to try new foods, visit new places, and always have a full stomach. Am I right!?

Today I have compiled a list of my top 11 Walt Disney World dining locations. It was suppose to be 10 but I couldn’t stop! There is no rhyme or reason to the order of reviews, just know that we love all of these! Because each dinning experience offers such amazing food sometimes we forget to snap a photo before we dig in!

Guests of all ages can’t resist a Mickey shaped ice cream bar!

Be Our Guest

One of the newer dining experience at Magic Kingdom is Be Our Guest. This is an amazing place to eat, not just because of the food. There are 3 beautifully designed rooms for your enjoyment that will take your breath away. During lunch time you can enjoy a quick service style meal, ordering from a kiosk. If you choose to dine for dinner you will enjoy the assurance of a server, a cart full of beautiful desserts and one of the best steaks ever. You won’t want to miss out! You can also snag a photo with the Beast himself!

California Grill

If you’re looking for a more upscale restraint but also enjoy the firework show at Magic Kingdom the California Grill is right up your alley!! This dining experience turns your evening meal into a magical firework show. During the show the restaurant lights are dimmed and the theme music is pumped in for all to enjoy. Watching the fireworks reach the sky from the top of the Contemporary resort is beyond breath taking.

Crystal Palace

There are two things I know as fact. 1) men like to eat, 2) women/kids love characters. Crystal Palace is the best of both worlds! Enjoy an enormous buffet spread while meeting the timeless characters from The Hundred Acre Woods! This is one of my first character meals and for that reason alone it will always be in my favorites. Not to mention it’s nestled right in the heart of Magic Kingdom. Perfect for any lunch on a Park day.

Disney Food Trucks

Possibly the most underrated dinning spot is the Disney Food Trucks at Disney Springs. Don’t laugh at me, because these food trucks offer a variety of all kinds of food with delicious favor. Including the famous giangt corn dogs from Disneyland! Needing to refuel for some more shopping, but not wanting to wait for food? This is your spot!

Did you know you can actually send a letter from The Magic Kingdom?! It’s true!

Earl of Sandwich

Come the third day of the Disney Dinning Plan sometimes I just want something light but still delicious. Earl of Sandwich is located at Disney Springs and provides the perfect light weight but filling meal. Not only do they serve wonderful sandwiches they also offer wraps, salads, soups, and of course desserts. You can find this tasty spot near Once Upon a Toy and Disney’s Pin Trading Post!

‘Ohana

One of Chris’ favorite places to eat is ‘Ohana’s at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. This family style restaurant offers delicious polynesian inspired cuisine, and the best part of all its served to your table in gigantic portions fit for a king! Besides all the delicious meats offered to you at ‘Ohana’s my favorite dish is the noodles tossed in teriyaki sauce! I could easily eat my own weight in these noodles.

Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming

Ready for some yummy farm-to-fork food? Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming displays Florida’s fresh flavors you won’t want to miss out on. My favorite plate on the menu is the Friend Chicken & Donuts, don’t knock it till you try it! The atmosphere of this restaurant is family friendly, and offers a “good o’l time”. Located at Disney Springs allows you to top off any park day with a hardy meal!

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

A lot of people recommend Cinderella’s Royal Table as their princess dinning experience, and I agree you should try it at least once. But I truly love Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, and I know you will too! This fun and beautiful experience is located inside the EPCOT World Showcase at the Norway pavilion. There are several princesses who attend the royal banquet, maybe some of them are your favorites? Join Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Princess Aurora, and Ariel for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Liberty Tree Tavern

Imagine enjoying your Disney vacation and then all of a sudden you are craving a home cooked traditional Thanksgiving meal. No worries! Liberty Tree Tavern is the perfect place to stuff your face with stuffing, gravy, turkey, and pie. You may in fact need a nap directly following this meal. If this sounds up your alley you will want to secure your reservation as soon as possible, because this place books up fast. For good reasons! My mouth is watering imagining Thanksgiving dinner in the heart of the Magic Kingdom.

Teppan Edo

Enjoy traditional Japanese dishes cooked right in front of you at Teppan Edo! Immerse yourself into Japanese culture at the EPCOT World Showcase Japan pavilion. This was my birthday dinner choice one year and it was amazing. The cooks are full of laughter and skill, wowing everyone at the tables. Kids and adults alike. Not to mention each meal is cooked to order, have a little of everything just how you like it.

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater

This was at the top of our list on our Honeymoon, after all who doesn’t want to enjoy dinner, 50s style? Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater offers all American cuisine while you sit in your classic car. During dinner you will enjoy clips of popular sci-fi movie clips, how cool is that! Plus the milkshakes are to die for, I promise! This is a perfect restaurant for Disney’s Hollywood Studio, it encompasses movies, food, history and more!
