My First Project Life Book

While the cowboy and I were engaged I purchased my first Project Life book. I kept eyeing them every time my Mom and I were in Michaels and Hobby Lobby. Finally I bit the bullet and purchased the book and kit to document our first year of marriage.

I grew up watching my mom scrapbook, I’ve tried multiple times to scrapbook myself but was always too hard on myself. I could never get my pages to look just right. So I gave up and stuck with card making and the occasional DIY projects. Once my Mom’s life got a little too crazy for a full blown scrapbook she started doing the Project Life books. After seeing how easy it was and the fact that it doesn’t have to be perfect I was intrigued.

Taking pictures has always been a big deal to me and I wanted to document the cowboy and I’s life in a special way. I’m proud to say it’s not perfect but I LOVE my Project Life Book! The goal is to take a picture a day and write a journaling card about it! So easy! Now I may not have taken a picture every day but I make up for it by adding multiple pictures of one day. (I.e. Christmas, Thanksgiving)

I’ve almost completed out first year, it’s crazy to see how time just zooms by!

Even now iI enjoy flipping through my finished pages, smiling at all the great memories we’ve made so far. A picture is truly worth a thousand words, and I can’t imagine life without them. The Cowboy & I have truly had a crazy first year of marriage, and I look forward to spending forever with him.

Do any of you have a Project Life book?

A Penny Well Spent

I had the most amazing thing happen to me this week!

I’ve been shopping around for a Smash book to use during The Cowboy and I’s honeymoon. During my search I came across one laying around Michael’s. I also found a wedding Smash book, unable to decide between the two I went to check out both. (with the intent to return the one I didn’t love)

The lady in front of me gave me a %40 off coupon, and before the cashier scanned it she said this wonderful phrase:

“That little book is only a penny”

A penny, how could that be!? Apparently when something discontinues at Michael’s they price it at a penny on clearance! I had no idea, this could be very bad for The Cowboy.

Are there other deals out there like this I need to know about? Please share you insight!
