Disney Designer | ColourPop Collection

I’m beyond excited for today’s blog post! A few weeks ago it was announced that Disney and ColourPop (an affordable makeup brand) would be doing a collaboration together. This isn’t just your average collaboration though, this was for the Disney Designer collection. Before we dig into the makeup portion let me give you a background of why this collection is so cool.

Disney has launched their Disney Designer Collection: The Premier Series which was inspired by the runways and red carpets during each beautiful Disney princess theatrical debut. They will be releasing a total of 6 limited edition dolls that perfectly capture the icon fashion and accessories of each moment in fashion history. The dolls they are releasing are…

Snow White – 1973

Releasing October 6th, 2018

Cinderella – 1950

Releasing October 13th, 2018

Jasmine- 1992

Releasing October 20th, 2018

Ariel – 1989

Releasing October 27th, 2018

Tiana – 2009

Releasing November 3rd, 2018

Belle – 1991

Releasing November 10th, 2018

To go along with this new collection Disney has designed, ornaments, jewelry, and a whole makeup collection with ColourPop! Obviously being the Disney fanatic I am as soon as this information dropped I marked it on my calendar and set many alarms to ensure that I could order what I wanted from the collection before it all sold out.

I added all my goodies to the cart and went to check out. To give you perspective on how crazy this launch was one product was already sold out from my cart before I had a chance to finish checking out. Lucky I got what I truly wanted which was the makeup palette, two lipsticks, three glosses, and one Super Shock Shadow. This is my first time trying any ColourPop products so therefore this is my first reviewing their formulas and longevity of their products.

Creme Lux Lipstick Review

I have to say I really enjoy the formula of this creme lipstick. Application was smooth and extremely pigmented. The two shades I purchased were Belle and Cinderella. Each one was only $7, which is the normal price of their Creme Lux Lipsticks. Belle is an enchanted rosy berry perfect for fall and winter. Cinderella is a true blue pink, which I love. It’s more of a spring/summer color but I’m still rocking it. Each lipstick tube has all 6 Princess’ signature scrolled on it, and the tube has a beautiful gold/rosy tint. Overall I think this formula is amazing and hydrating only for $7! I could see my self buying more from their regular line, because I totally need more lipstick…

Ultra Glossy Lip Review

The three Ultra Glossy Lips I got were… Bibbidi, Bobbidi, Boo! Because how could I just buy one?! These glosses are fantastic! They have a lovely pigmentation that isn’t overpowering, this gives them the ability too look good on their own or on top of your favorite lipstick. My favorite part is that the formula isn’t sticky! Sticky lipgloss is the worst, especially when it gets all over your face because your hair got stuck in it. Speaking from experience here. These glosses were $6 each, the price of their regular line Ultra Gloss Lips. In the end I’m extremely happy with this purchase, formula, and the names simply make me happy.

Super Shock Shadow Review

Before placing my first order with ColourPop I heard mixed reviews of their Super Shock Shadows so I only ordered one. So far I am loving it! I truly love working with creme based shadows and this is a unique formula unlike any others I have tried. It’s very soft and easy to work with. The shade I purchased was So This Is Love, a soft pink with a frosted finish. It’s beautiful completely on it’s own or mixed with other shadows. I haven’t struggled blending it or building it up. These shadows are only $5 and I already want more. Control your self Stephanie!

Palette Review

I’m sure this is the review you are all waiting on. The it’s a Princess Thing pressed palette was the #1 product I knew I wanted to get. Honestly I thought this would sell out first, but as of the time I’m publishing it, it’s still available. I genuinely cannot thing of a bad things to say about this palette. The mattes are to die for, the metallics are beautiful, and they all blend so nicely!!! The formula does kick up in the pan, but seriously that has never bothered me. Each shadow works like a charm without any added effort. The names of each shade of course are adorable. From Poison Apple, Fairy Godmother, Chip, Ray, and Grumpy they are all perfectly names to match the shade.

In conclusion, I guess you can say I’m in love with everything! Disney’s attention to detail from the packaging to the names of each shade/product is perfection. ColourPop’s formula and pricing cannot be beat and I’m already putting together my next order!
